I'm Daniel, a trained portrait photographer. Actually, I photograph actors and work on film sets.
I never would have thought that I would find fulfillment in landscape and travel photography. That is, until I bought the Leica D-Lux 8 and discovered the 1:1 image ratio.
Influenced by the style of director Wes Anderson, my preference for symmetry, and a then still unconscious preference for minimalist photography, I began to perceive the world with a different awareness.
While in this fast-paced age we are accustomed to viewing vertical devices and consuming images only digitally, and while the horizontal view is part of our nature, I find the square format to be an exciting contrast and also a compromise for capturing the world as I see it and the moment.
The recordings act like a window. A deep breath and an escape from the stressful, overstimulating everyday life.
An experience I'd like to share. We've forgotten what analog art can feel like. What a printed photograph can evoke in us, enchanting and transporting us.
For me, a photograph truly comes to life only as a fine art print on the wall. Art is simply so important to us humans and enriches our existence.
Therefore, I would like to make my view of the world accessible to you in this Fine Art Shop and offer you the opportunity to bring a moment of peace into your home.
Oh yes, if you want to see what else I photograph, take a look:
